Filming & Photography Permit Application

Commercial photographers, video production or film companies must complete a permit application to use Arizona State Parks as a location. Download the Permit Application and email the completed form to pio@azstateparks.gov. Personal photography permits are no longer required - this includes engagement, family photos, and graduations.

You will be notified when the permit application is approved. A special-use permit may also be required, which is managed by the parks directly. There is a $1 million insurance certificate required. For large scale project, please allow up to 30 days for the completion of the permit application and permit process. We will do our best to approve small, low impact requests quickly.

Arizona State Parks and Trails has limited resources to present at your next event or engagement. If you would like to have a representative speak at or attend your event, please complete the speaker request form.

Permission for Use of Pictorial Images

All requests to reproduce photographic images from the Arizona State Parks and Trails collections must be emailed to: pio@azstateparks.gov.

Many Arizona State Parks host fun, educational Star Parties or astronomy events! Our astronomy program has been in operation since 2007 and continues to grow with each exciting event. At a typical star night event, you can hear a lecture (often with guest speakers), and view celestial objects (planets, nebulas, stars) through a variety of telescopes.
